CHEZ PAWS GROOMING IS UNABLE TO ACCEPT NEW CLIENTS AT THIS TIME
1. How long will my pet be there? - In order to maximize the number of clients served in a day, while limiting the amount of time a pet has to be here, appointments are taken on the hour. Pets are usually at the salon between 3 and 4 hours. If you need your pet back in 2 hours or less, please call the salon to make your request, or we can refer you to another salon that may suit your needs
2. How long can my pet stay? - Your pet will be finished between 3 and 4 hours after arriving. You may pick them up as soon as they're finished, at a predetermined appointed time, or they may stay until closing. Just let us know at drop off. ANY PET STILL HERE AFTER OFFICIAL CLOSING TIME WILL BE CHARGED $1/MIN UNTIL THEY ARE PICKED UP
3. Can I come to my appointment early or late? - Please show up as close to your appointed time as possible. Coming early or late without notice can cause us to be off schedule for the rest of the day. If you need to change your appointment time, or are running late please call the salon at 816-322-9966 and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.
4. Does my pet need to be current of their vaccinations? - All pets are required to be current on all vaccinations. This is for everyones safety. Please bring a copy of your current vaccination records to your first appointmet, and updated records as needed. Tags will NOT be accepted as proof of vaccination. If you show up to your appointment without proper proof of vaccinations, you and your pet will be sent home.
5. What is the difference between Jessica Askren and Jessica Too? - They are actually the SAME PERSON! In order to create enough appointment spaces online, I had to create a second online version of myself. Don't worry. If you book online just choose no preference. No matter what, you get the one and only Jessica.
6. What size should I book my dog under? - Small dog grooms include dogs around 20lbs or less i.e. : shihtzu, toy poodle, yorkie, maltipoo, miniature schnauzer, etc. Medium grooms include dogs around 50lbs or less i.e. : Cockers, border collies, Australian shepards, boxers, wheaton terrier, bulldog, and. Large grooms include dogs 95lbs or less i.e. Golden retriever, German shepards, giant schnauzer, Old English Sheepdogs, St. Poodles Most Doodles. IF YOU HAVE AN EXTRA LARGE DOG I.E. GREAT PYRANESE, ST. BERNARD, NEWFOUNDLAND ETC. YOU MUST CALL THE SALON TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AS SPACE IS LIMITED.
7. How do I book multiple dogs of the same size? - First select the size of the dogs to be groomed. Then add services before selecting the date and time. Choose add another dog 1, add another dog 2, add another dog 3 up to add a dog 4. If you have more than 4 dogs per appointment, please call the salon to book.
8. Can you groom my cat? - Unfortunately due to allergies, we can no longer accept cats for grooming.
9. Do I need to make an appointment for a nail trim only? - Beginning Saturday, May 16 2020 Chez Paws will no longer accept walk in nail trims. You may still book nail trims online, however space is limited. We will accept walk in nail trims on the 3rd Saturday of each month between the hours of 4:30pm and 5:30pm with no appointment necessary. Visit our Facebook page for more details and up to date info on nail trims.
10. Can I get my dog in today? - Unfortunately the answer to this is probably no. You can feel free to call ahead and check for cancellations. As a single person operation, appointment times fill quickly. Advance appointments are usually required.
11. What happens if I miss my appointment without notice? - Things come up sometimes. Life is hectic. If you can, 24 hours advanced notice is preferred. We may choose to charge a fee if you miss your appointment without notice. If you miss your appointment without notice, you'll be marked as a no show/ no call. After 3 no show/ no calls you will lose online booking privileges and you will be required to pre pay before another appointment can be booked.
12. I can't seem to book my appointment online, what should I do? - If you're a current customer, and can't seem to book your appointment, please call or text the salon at 816-322-9966. We'll be happy to assist you!
12. What if I need to change my appointment? - You can change your appointment online with 24 hours notice. If you miss that window, please call the salon. We will do our best to move your appointment to a time that works for you.
13. How much does it cost? - Small breed dogs start at $39 for full grooming. Medium dogs start at $ 45 for full grooming. Large dogs start at $60 for full grooming. Extra large dogs start at $80. All prices vary based on actual size and condition of coat. There are different charges for bath and brush depending on the tpe of hair your dog has. Long hair, medium hair, or short hair. All online prices are subject to change. For a more accurate quote, please call the salon.
14. How far in advance do I need to book? How far in advance can I book? - Depending on the time of year you will need to book anywhere between 1 and 4 weeks in advance. Keep in mind that weekends and holidays fill up the fastest. You can book up to 3 months in advance online. If you'd like to book thru the end of the year, just ask! We'd be happy to put you on a regular schedule
15. Do I have to book online? - Online booking was added to allow customers to book 24/7 at their convenience. You are more than welcom to call the salon, text the salon, or show up during business hours to book your appointment.
16. Can I stay and watch? - While we keep an open facility so people can see whats going on, you may not stay and watch while we groom your pet. It can make the grooming process more difficult and stressfull for them. As much as we love your pets, and they often love us in return, they prefer your company! They won't want to stay still for grooming if you're within reach or site. If this is a necessity for you, we may be able to refer you to another salon.
17. Should I book a basic or a full groom? - Both services include a shampoo, conditioner, blow out, brush out, nail trim and ear cleaning. A basic groom includes a light trim around the face feet and sanitary area. A full groom includes a full body haircut.
